HAVE FUN AND HELP ALS OF NEVADA
Events planned and organized by groups located in communities throughout the state serve as vital sources of funds for ALS of Nevada. If you or your group has an interest in hosting a fundraising event, review the following tips to help get you started.
TIPS
FORM A PLANNING COMMITTEE. The enthusiasm and dedication of people who help you plan and organize your event will increase the probability of its success.
ESTABLISH GOALS. Establish realistic and measurable financial goals.
BE SURE YOU HAVE CHOOSEN THE RIGHT EVENT. Your event should maximize the size, interest, talents, goals and time available of your committee.
IDENTIFY YOUR AUDIENCE. Who is most likely to attend and participate in the type of event you have selected?
DEVELOP A BUDGET. Identify possible sources of income and expenses. Keeping your up-front expenses down will ensure a larger contribution to us. After all, your objective is to raise funds and provide financial support for ALS of Nevada and its programs in service to ALS patients and their families.
PROMOTE AND PUBLICIZE. Your plan for promoting and publicizing the event will be critical in reaching your target audience and overall financial objectives.
