staton STATON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Mrs. Staton began teaching in Clark County in 1950. She had a love for reading and was responsible for expanding the area of reading instruction within the Clark County School District.

Mrs. Staton retired in 1980 but because of her love for children and the work she had accomplished, she wanted to remain active despite her retirement. Unfortunately, Mrs. Staton was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, and she passed away in 1999.

The Las Vegas 51s have the proud distinction of being the longest enduring franchise in the history of Minor League sports in southern Nevada. Las Vegas Triple-A baseball was born on April 10, 1983 in front of 10,622 at Cashman Field. The 51s pride themselves in giving back to the community and to helping charities and organizations striving to make the Las Vegas Valley a better place to live.
Kilroys

Kilroy's Ice Hockey Club
In the early 1990's, a group of hockey players from Las Vegas formed the Kilroy's Ice Hockey Team. The criterion for being elected to this team was shaped by the player's ability, personality and worth ethic. Former President of Nevada Power, Steve Rigazio, proudly wore the Kiroy jersey. Steve lost his battle to ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) in December 2001. In his memory, the Kilroy's Hockey Club continues philanthropic efforts to assist Nevada's ALS patients and their families and supports the efforts of ALS of Nevada.

David Saxe DAVID SAXE PRODUCTIONS
Born and raised in Las Vegas to a show business family, David Saxe is the youngest producer in Las Vegas history having produced three shows on the Las Vegas strip by the age of 18, and more shows on the Strip at one time than any other producer.

Every February, David produces the All Star Las Vegas Show – an annual benefit to support the patient and family services of ALS of Nevada.

A company policy in the Las Vegas office is “get involved in your community”. As a result, Anne Marschik in the Las Vegas office, serves on the Board of Directors of ALS of Nevada.

John Dawson, past President of ALS of Nevada, heads the Trust and Estate practice of Lionel Collins & Sawyer.
